Notification

To file a DMCA complaint regarding content hosted by Astrid AI, the copyright owner or their authorized agent should submit a notification of claimed infringement. This notification must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.

  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity.

  • Sufficient information to permit Astrid AI to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.

  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Response by Astrid AI

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice, Astrid AI will promptly remove or disable access to the infringing material and notify the user who posted it of the action taken.

Counter-Notice

If the user believes that the material was removed or access was disabled by mistake or misidentification, they may file a counter-notice with Astrid AI. This counter-notice must include the user’s name, address, phone number, material removed, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed, along with a statement under penalty of perjury that the user has a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.

Restoration of Material

If a counter-notice is received by Astrid AI, the DMCA provides that the removed material will be restored or access re-enabled in 10 to 14 business days unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the user who provided the counter-notice.
